Sizzlers Steakhouse

My husband and I ate in this restaurant for the first time last night and we will not be back. My husband's sirloin steak was so tough that he could not eat it. We sent this back and it was replaced with another steak which was less tough but so undercooked that it was still cold in the middle (we had asked for medium rare, not blue). They did take this back and cook it some more but the whole process took at least 15 minutes and no one bothered to replace the chips or side orders or offered to keep my meal warm so we could actually eat together. The waitress seemed surprised that we were unwilling to pay for the steak and only took it off the bill after a long argument. We eat out regularly, on average 3 or 4 times a week and this service was what you would expect in a cheap cafe not a fairly expensive restaurant.

Had a really nice meal here last night with my husband. Steaks were really tasty and the girl who served us was really chatty. The cheesecake is amazing!!!

This must be the best value lunch in Glasgow. £6.95 for two courses, loads of choice and excellent quality and portion sizes.

i've visited this restaurant a few times but after sunday i'll not be back, my husband and i sat ouside and were greated by a man who i presume is the manager, he was busy but still very polite to us however that did not make up at all for the poor quality of food we recieved. both our steaks were tasteless, overcooked and served with a laughable amount of chips..the chef should be ashamed. i'm really disapointed as i remember this place when you had to queue to get a table but i think it's safe to say with food like that those days are gone.

My boyfriend had been given a sizzlers gift voucher for his birthday a few months ago and we finally got round to using it this weekend. I was a little apprehensive as I’m not a big fan of steak, however I was pleasantly surprised when I glanced over the menu to find a much wider range than just steaks! My boyfriend went all out and had the challenge, 40oz of steak but reluctantly had to admit defeat only half way through, I had the salmon and crayfish pasta which was delicious. We both had the cheesecake dessert however one would have done both of us as it was a huge portion and the waitress who was serving us had put a candle in Colin’s cheesecake when she brought it to the table. The staff really took the time to look after us and all in all we had a fantastic evening. Would recommend highly and definitely be back.

I dont believe what I'm reading about the reviews here. My wife and I are regular visitors to this restaurant and cannot fault it. Everything is home made. The steaks are delicious and the desserts are the best ever. I would reccomend this restaurant to everyone. The people review ing on here obviously expect cartwheels and handstands and dont eat out regularly. Keep up the good work Sizzlers

This place is a joke. Scotland is famous for its beef. But Glasgow certainly does not have anything resembling a steakhouse.
Locals and tourists - BE WARNED - you'd be better buying a burger in a fast-food shop than be fleeced by these chancers.
Poor food, bad cooking, indifferent staff, no review in The List.

I was extremely disappointed with Sizzlers Steakhouse. Myself and my partner went out on Saturday evening and chose this restaurant by word of mouth from a friend. To say the least it was awful. We ordered a rump and sirloin steak surf and turf, they were both really really tuff, bland with oily mushrooms and onions. The prawns were absolutley tasteless, the presentation of everything on the plate
was terrible, and then we got our chips in a little side plate, I counted no more than 7 chips. To be paying £13.00 for a steak then extra £6.00 for surf and turf, it was definatley not worth it.
The atmosphere was to say the least " dead pan " and staff very unfriendly.
Yes we also got charged a service fee too, so no unfortunatley we didn't leave a tip and I never every leave a restaurant without putting a tip down.

My wife and I were in this restaurant last week I ordered fillet steak (they served me sirloin) and my wife had sea bass served on a bowl of salad (the fish must have been sitting in a tray of cooking oil as her salad was soaked through with grease.
We didn't bother to complain as we will never be back in there. When we got the bill there was also a service charge. this is the first time that I have never left a tip in a restaurant.

My wife and I visited this restaurant to celebrate a birrthday on the 24.6.08. We ordered fillet steak and a porterhouse steak. Both steaks were of poor quality, the fillet was flattened out and no doubt a very cheap cut. The porterhouse was very big, tough and tasteless. The steaks were presented with onions and chips!
Very disappointed to say the least and then to be presented with a service charge on the bill was the nail in the coffin. The restaurant appeared very clean, pleasantly decorated and well located. In my opinion, this steakhouse should be renamed Swizzlers!
