Dined here 03/09/09. We had booked the pre theatre menu as we were going to the theatre! Intended to have two courses, main and sweet but ran out of time. The main courses we had were very nicely cooked and presented but the service was very slow. Two of the party had ordered the homemade steakburgers and this was given as the reason for the delay, apparently they take half an hour from ordering to be ready. Fair enough, but had we been informed of this at time of ordering we would have reconsidered. On realising we were short of time we asked that we finish having just had the one course and the possibility of having the bill adjusted. The duty manager was not particularly helpful and very reluctantly agreed to charge us just for the main course. Sitting at last in the theatre we realised that we had in fact been charged the full amount after all, our fault for not checking but we had been anxious about our time.

To sum up- Surroundings pleasant, service slow for pre theatre dining, food worth the wait if time allows. Duty manger of the day not user friendly.
