Ichiban

I have been a customer of Ichiban for over 5 years and I can say that the Japanese food here is second top none.My favourtie main dish is the Gyu-Don which is Steak beef marinated in ginger and sake on a bed of boiled rice. The Salmon sushi is delicious too. The atmosphere is bustly and you definetely get the authentic feel. Compared to Wagawama, I prefer Ichiban by a country mile. The food here tastes better, the waiters/waitresses are friendlier and there is sushi available! All in all I would definetely recommend Ichiban any time of the day.

Not authentic in the slightest. My oyako don consisted of rubbery chicken and long grain rice (you would think they could at least have got Japanese rice, it's not that much more expensive). Sushi was a little better and I suppose at £2.20 I can't really complain about the white tuna. You could do worse, but don't kid yourself that this is what they eat in Japan!!

Ichiban is the best place in Glasgow for authentic Japanese food, at a reasonable price. I eat in both branches and both the food and service are consistently fantastic.
The teishoku lunch menu offers fantastic value for money at just £6.50 for a main and side order! Totally love it and can't recommend it highly enough!

I have eaten in Ichiban as often as possible for the last 6years it is definetely the best Japanese restaurant in Glasgow and as for the person who said Wagamama is better I think they'v lost their taste buds!
Ichiban has an amazing menu selection, food is fresh and fast and best of all it's reasonably priced. On top of this the staff are excellent, really fast, friendly and helpful.

Excellent! First time I went there the waitresses were so quick to serve us. Food came very quick aswell. I usually get Ebi Gyoza, which is dumplings filled with leek and pork, tamago nigiri, and either chicken curry or ramen. I go there whenever I get the chance to with my boyfriend.

Awful. I honestly was ready to walk out. My partner had red meat in his dish and I had dry, chewy fish but the same oily, sweet sauce was used in both! I really cannot stress enough how bad this place is. If you want good Japanese food, go to Wagamamas in town.

My favourite takeaway in Glasgow!
Delicious, authentic Japanese treats at very reasonable prices.
Bento boxes come with generous portions of meat or fish and lots of extras - sushi, gyoza dumplings, onigiri (rice balls), miso soup & pickles - a very good deal. Side order of seasonal greens - delicious.
Have also eaten in Queen Street branch - very pleasant indeed.

Having Eaten in Ichiban very many times I can safely say that it is one of my favourite places to eat in glasgow and cannot recommend it enough, I always liek this place due to the service and the quality of the fod, it is also a little bit defferent to the standard chinese or indian places I go to with my friends normally.
I really cannot say enough god things about this place.
