Thai Siam

Went to Thai Siam last night as a party of 5. We were the first to take a table but within 10 minutes the place was packed, which meant that it took quite some time to have orders taken and for our food to arrive (which just gives more chatting time if you ask me!).
But when the food arrived it was well worth it. I had mussels to start, which were fantastic, and they were happy to let me order another starter as my main course whilst my dining partners had their mains.
Finished it off with a bombe, and (as it was a birthday dinner) the staff were happy to bring out plates and a knife for us to cut up the cake... but ended up, to our surprise, dimming the lights, putting on a happy birthday song and adding candles to our cake as they brought it out!
It was a real treat, and a fitting finish to an excellent meal. Very well priced too.
One liner: you might have to wait when it's busy, but it's the most rewarding wait you'll make this year.

Extremely helpful staff - were very careful to help explain all the dishes over the phone to me so that I could order carryout without a menu!

Really is the best authentic thai cuisine outside of Thailand. Staff are really friendly and nothing is too much to ask. Really recommend the Pre theatre menu as great value for money.
