Chow

Chow is my all time favourite Chinese restaurant. The food is seconds out the pan before it reaches the table, sparkling with fresh vegetables and spicy flavours. Their food has a real kick and isn't weighed down with heavy sauces. If I could have one more meal on earth it would be Chow's Salt & Pepper King Prawns - divine! Very reasonable too and always a good atmosphere. Great to eat early in the evening before cinema or a night out.

Contrary to the poor review posted by some disillusioned soul...Chow is an excellent restaurant - I have been dining there for years and it never fails to impress. It doesn't pretend to be a 'noodle bar'...nor should it. The reason it is different from most other Chinese restaurants in Glasgow is that the food is very light and fresh and not the heavy fare that you often get in more traditional establishments. All dishes are well prepared and very tasty, served by genuinely friendly staff in a bustling, lively environment. It is always busy, always fun and very good value for money given the high standard of food & service - if this sounds like your bag...don't hesitate to go to Chow. If you prefer a more traditional, dark and refined eatery...go to the Ho Wong or Amber Regent instead, or Ichiban if you want a noodle bar. I recommend the salt & pepper king prawns btw :-)
