Malletsheug Inn
your comments review this restaurant
Last evening three of us called at the Malletsheugh Inn for supper before going to the theatre in Glasgow. We did not order complicated food, but it took forty minutes for anything to appear. When it did part of the order was missing (we had been impressed with the order being taken without being written down - get a notebook). The delay was attributed to the fact that "it takes a long time to pan fry duck breast". It certainly had. We have never tasted such poorly presented and frankly inedible food - black pudding mash with a whole slice of black pudding which had not been integrated - the remains of a poor duck which had died in vain - it truly was inedible (so overcooked that the knife couldn't cut it), and some very poor vegetables which seemed to have come from the freezer. It was very noisy - no hard furnishings to absorb the loud music, and we were very disappointed. We really cannot recommend this restaurant.
