For years the Pierotti's have been giving Glasgow an unforgetable dining experience.
From the old Piccolo Mondo in Renfrew, La Fiorentina, Planet Uno and now the new Piccolo Mondo in Glasgow which is just superb.
The food is exceptional, bursting with flavour, freshly prepared and an unrivaled wine list. No frozen pre prepared food here. It's all freshly made, and you can taste the difference.
The staff really look after you always able to recomend different dishes and match the wine accordingly.
Superb value set menus and an a la carte that is simply sensational.
I can't praise Piccolo Mondo enough, I have never been dissapointed on my visits.
If you're an Italian red wine lover then this is the place for you. Try the Zenato Amarone or Ripassa.

my name is colin carroll and though i have been dining at your restaurant for a number of years now. recently myself and my partner were disappointed when we were given our main meal which was steaks. we asked for them to be well done but found our order to be over done making it hard to cut with our knives so much so we had to leave the steaks. but in your favour your class of service and surroundings are both outstanding but for the money we paid out which we dont grudge but were disheartened although we would like to return to your premises we would need to be re-assured that when we return the same mistake wont happen again. we do look forward to hearing from you in the very near future. many thanks from colin and robert .

Starter - moules mariniere - small salty, rubbery pellets in tasteless broth
Pasta course - linguine alla marinara - OK
Gigot of lamb - frankly, disgraceful. Slices of what I suspect were pre-cooked, pre-sliced meat in a bisto gravy - 'school dinner' lamb of the kind served at low budget mass market catering events.
Dessert - didn't have one, but they looked OK, if dull.
Ambience - good, but stage Italian bonhomie of waiting staff grated after a while.
Overall - dismal. Provincial italian restaurant of the worst kind.
