Windows Restaurant

Booked this restaurant on the Monday for the following Saturday and on arrival we were given a table against a blank wall opposite the door although the dining area was empty except two customers. When I complained they gave the excuse that they had a booking for a large party. However some time later a couple came in and were escorted to a table next to window in main dining area. We would have walked out if we had not been given Windows vouchers by the family.

My starter of mussels had very tasty sauce but the mussel meat was very small.

The salmon main course was well cooked and enjoyed. Because we were landed with a very bad table position we would not go back and I would advise anyone booking a table to state that the table must be one with a view.

I have been to Windows Restaurant many times and on each occasion, have loved every minute. The ambience, food and service has been excellent. Looking forward to my next visit.

We booked Windows restaurant located in the Carlton George Hotel for a small university reunion - myself and 4 close friends.

We had a fantastic night - food was delicious, service excellent and superb value for money.

The views across the city were amazing and it was great being able to watch our food being prepared right before our eyes by the chef.

We will definately be returning to Windows , and will be telling everyone else to give it a try!

Myself and my partner dined in Windows recently and had the most enjoyable experience! Attentive staff and fantatic food - couldnt ask for much more!!! there was also a large party dining when I was there however and we did not experience any problems! Enjoyed so much the girls and I are heading back for afternoon tea soon! Well done Windows!

WORST EVENING I HAVE HAD.

A romantic evening trancended into a rable that would not have been tolerated in a burger bar.Guests shouting,screaming and swearing.After numerous complaints from myself and other tables,and being asked to quieten down the table continued whilst sarcastically telling each other to sshhhhhhhhh!

This resulted in a horrible horrible atmosphere with myself and others leaving without desert and never to return.

Staff seemed worried that they may upset such a large table,but in doing so turned away more respectfull guests.Food was at best average but the overall experience was truely awfull
