48 Bistro

This was possibly both the worst food and the worst service I have ever encountered. Having booked almost a week in advance, for 10 people on a tuesday night, and with only two other tables occupied, we would have expected efficient service. However, it took 45 minutes even to get bread, and by the time our starters arrived we had been there for an hour and a quarter. The food was mediocre at best. There were only three pudding choices, one of which we were only told wasn't available about ten minutes after most of us had ordered it. There were not even enough of the alternative choices available for those of us who were disappointed. The waitresses seemed to consist of stroppy teenagers who were both clueless and unhelpful. Altogether a very poor show!
