Labonne Auberge

Not the usual budget pre-theatre fodder usually found at Mediterranean restaurants. Excellent value. Nice bread brought to table. Starter of prawn timbale first-class and very tasty. Good choice of main courses. I reckon their famous rib-eye steak with brandy sauce and proper chips is just about as good as you'll get anywhere, and at no extra cost. Puds are extra but worth it. Good portions, well-presented. Maybe not authentic French, just good quality food well cooked. Nice atmosphere, never seen it quiet.
This place had the fastest-moving waiting staff we've ever seen, so we can book a pre-theatre knowing we won't miss the start of the show. La Bonne Auberge has never let us down in any way.
